How long does a clutch last?
Anywhere from around 60,000 miles to well over 100,000 depending on driving style and conditions — stop-start urban driving and towing wear a clutch far faster than motorway miles. There's no fixed lifespan, which is why we diagnose the actual condition rather than replacing by mileage.
Is it the clutch or the gearbox?
